Painting and protective coatings contractor software

Coat-by-coat progress, quality notes and material issue, on one project record.

Painting and protective-coating contractors run on Buildem One's shared project, site-reporting and procurement workflows, configured with their own stages.

Priced by area, recorded by coat

A painting BOQ is mostly area: square metres of wall, ceiling or steel surface against a rate. On the Professional plan, BOQ lines carry a unit, so area items price naturally, and a BOQ can be loaded in bulk instead of keyed line by line.

Quality on every coat

Each activity in the daily progress report carries a QC status, a QC note and an NCR reference. A coat that has to be redone gets its NCR reference on the same activity, so rework is traceable to the day and the area it happened.

Working at height

Work at height needs a Work at Height permit. Permits are raised in the system with the other site permits.

Paint and consumables

Paint, thinners and consumables go through material requests and purchase orders, arrive on delivery challans and are tracked in stock, so consumption can be read against the project it was issued to.

Stages in your own words

Stages are set by each contractor in Settings. A painting contractor might define, for example:

What this uses

BOQ
Area-based BOQ lines, with bulk upload (Professional plan).
Permits
Work at Height.
Material
Paint and consumables through material requests, purchase orders and stock.

This describes how Buildem One’s shared workflows fit this trade. It does not include dry-film-thickness logging, coating calculators, humidity or dew-point records, manufacturer warranty tracking. BOQ, work orders, measurement sheets, RA bills and customer tax invoices are part of the Professional plan. See all industries.
