Electrical and MEP contractor software

Electrical permits, stage progress and the specialists you bring in, on one project.

Electrical and MEP contractors run on Buildem One's shared project, site-reporting and procurement workflows, configured with their own stages.

An Electrical permit

Buildem One has an Electrical work permit type alongside Hot Work, Cold Work, Work at Height, Confined Space and General. Permits are raised and approved in the system instead of on paper.

When approval or another trade holds you up

Delay reasons include permit approval and Interdepartmental Coordination Delay, so a day lost to a permit or to another trade is recorded as such.

Cable, material and tools

Cable and materials move through material requests, purchase orders and stock. Tools and equipment are tracked as site resources.

Specialist subcontractors

Keep a directory of the specialist subcontractors you use, with their contacts. On the Professional plan, subcontractor contracts, bills and payments are managed too.

Stages in your own words

Stages are set by each contractor in Settings. An electrical or MEP contractor might define, for example:

What this uses

BOQ
BOQ lines priced by unit, with bulk upload (Professional plan).
Permits
Electrical, alongside Hot Work, Cold Work, Work at Height, Confined Space and General.
Material
Cable and materials through purchase orders and stock; tools as site resources.

This describes how Buildem One’s shared workflows fit this trade. It does not include testing and commissioning sheets, load calculations, earthing or insulation-resistance test records, building-management-system integration. BOQ, work orders, measurement sheets, RA bills and customer tax invoices are part of the Professional plan. See all industries.
